I personally have lost 62 lbs and 34 inches using the Matol Diet in just 5 months. Now please understand I am not finished. I still have 50 lbs to go, which will be completed by the end of April. One of the most fascinating things about this program is that you can guarantee your weight loss goal if you simply follow the food and supplement program, fill out your daily menu planner, weigh yourself only once a week and most importantly stay plugged into your coach and attend the support calls offered my Matol.
To me this is still unbelievable. I have been fat for
more than 30 years. I would start a diet at least 3 times a year and I would lose about 15/20 pounds and then diet failure! I was very relunctant in trying again because I really did not want any more failures in my life. As an emotional eater, of course failing just sent me to the cookie jar yet one more time. At my worst I weighed 293 lbs. Not a pretty sight.
More important than looks, my health was severely suffering. I had been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. After 12 years on medication my doctor informed me that my next course of action would be insulin. Well I was not going there. I had seen other relatives and their struggle with this disease and insulin was not for me. You see the reason I was not responding to the medication was because I was not controlling what went into my mouth. So the insulin was only another band-aid fix and not a solution for the problem. That was back in 2004. When I visited my doctor the end of Oct in 07 she ran blood tests. Now here is the kicker. I no longer require medication for my Diabetes!!! And she did not even request to see me again in 3 months for follow up testing. Some of us like to refer to this program as the Pancreas treatment and it is so appropriate. As you allow the pancreas to rest and feed the body what it needs, the weight just melts away.
One of the things I learned was that jumping with enthusiasm into any program without planning is a prescription for failure. So I identified why I had failed in the past. I needed to put together my plan of action and support system to turn to when those emotions got in the way again. Also finding a health coach who understood the “Matol Diet” and how it applied to my needs and challenges was very important. So now it was a matter of choosing the start date and doing it. Oh yeah by the way there was no room for trying…..try is not a commitment. “It is to make an attempt at —often used with an infinitive <try to fix the car>”. We all know how successful we can be at trying something. It is easy to allow ourselves to quit because we are only “trying”.
When I first started the program I was experiencing pain on my right side, by the pancreas and gallbladder. Amazingly after only 3 days, that uncomfortable pain disappeared and has not returned. This told me there was something to this “pancreas treatment”. My energy levels went through the roof and I sure felt like doing more. Oh and I now meet friends on the street or at the coffee shop and guess what? They do not know me unless I introduce myself. They have always seen me very obese.
I started Phase 2 of my Obesity recovery Jan 1/08. Because the first Phase of my project succeeded I know that final success is guaranteed. I have no idea how I will look, but I definitely know that I can only improve my health even more. I feel fantastic and really enjoy how I feel with the process.
